Rules

Here are the rules for the 5th Semi-Often 64tacos Mario Kart Tournament:

This will be a 1 kart vs. 1 kart tournament. You can choose to be an army of 1 or have a teammate with the co-op mode.

Seeding will be held on Luigi Circuit. Each team will select one of their members to race 3 laps in Time Trials mode. The team with the fastest qualifying time will get the #1 seed and the slowest will get the lowest seed.

After each team has seeded, the double elimination tournament will begin. The highest seed will play the lowest seed, 2nd highest plays 2nd lowest...and so on. The winner moves on and the loser goes to the losers bracket. If you lose a second time then you are out of the tournament.

The championship race will be held on Rainbow Road. The races leading up to it will Baby Park, Peach Beach, Dry Dry Desert, Dino Dino Park, Mario Circuit, Daisy Cruiser, Waluigi Stadium, Bowsers Castle and Mushroom Bridge.

Character Selection will go as follows: The highest ranked team according to seed gets 1st choice of character and then the teams alternate for the remaining 3 characters.

There will not be an entrance fee nor prize money this time.
